Description:

OVERVIEW

In this position, you will use your software development skills to develop visualization software to understand data where proximity and location matter. Your work will help developer communities re-imagine the capabilities of location-aware software applications that enable real-world improvements.
This team supports our Federal and Capitol region customers. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate engineers that deliver capabilities that enable our customers to make a difference in communities around the world.
The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately delivery transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
  • Demonstrated web development experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented software principles
  • Familiarity with GIS concepts
  • Ability to analyze software/algorithms and identify improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and teamwork skills
  • US citizenship and willingness and ability to obtain a clearance
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related STEM field

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with React, Node.js, and Typescript
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure
  • Experience with 2D and 3D data visualizations
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS products
  • Master’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or related STEM field
