Position Title: Global Director, Corporate Services
Reports to: Secretary General
Duration: Four-year contract renewable
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
The role is senior role and member of the Senior Management Team.
SUMMARY
The Global Director of Corporate Services plays a critical role in the strategic management and operational
excellence of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). This position oversees three teams:
finance and administration, legal and risk, and people and culture, ensuring that each pillar functions
cohesively to support WOSM’s mission and initiatives around the world. Additionally, this role is
responsible for implementing the decisions of the World Scout Committee, Sub-Committees and Task
Forces on related functions so that the results of such decisions are practically and efficiently applied and
carried out.
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB KNOWLEDGE
- Master’s degree in business administration, finance and accounting, management, or a related
field. CPA or equivalent degree (CA, MBA, ACMA, ACCA) is strongly recommended. Chartered
Accountant (CPA, ACMA, ACA, ACCA) would be preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in corporate services management, preferably in
an international non-profit or humanitarian setting.
- Strong knowledge of financial management practices, risk management frameworks, and
international labour laws.
- Solid experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Experience with financial audits and compliance.
- Experience in restricted funds and grant management is required.

Responsibilities:
The Global Director, Corporate Services, will undertake, among other duties:
- Lead the Corporate Services Practice Team, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment
with WOSM’s global goals and strategic plan.
- Lead the effective provision of all financial and management of accounting activities to ensure
satisfactory control, treasury management, and insightful management information across the
organisation.
- Oversee the financial management of WOSM, including budgeting, financial reporting, and audits,
ensuring financial transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate on grants management and donors’ compliance.
- Ensure compliance with international legal standards, regulations, and organisational policies in
all WOSM support centres.
- Oversee identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks to protect the organisation’s assets
and enhance its reputation.
- Provide strategic guidance and operational oversight and support to volunteers for three
standing committees: Finance Committee, Audit Committee, and Ethics Committee.
- Develop and implement comprehensive people and culture strategies that promote an inclusive,
dynamic, and high-performing organisational environment.
- Implement effective administrative processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and
support WOSM’s objectives.
- Collaborate with other practice teams and support centre teams to foster organisational synergies
and enhance overall efficiency.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on corporate services matters, including, financial
health, legal compliance, and organisational culture.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work
environment that encourages professional growth.
- Representation of the organisation as may be required.
- Any other responsibilities that the Secretary General may assign.
