Description:

Reporting into the Global Head of EHS, the role will work directly with the Global Head of EHS and collaborate with Global EHSLT, HR, finance and other key stakeholders to provide strategic planning, reporting and implementation support for all business aspects within the EHS global team to ensure that the EHS function aligns and supports our strategy. You will help ensure the successful integration of the Global EHS function within CSL.
This Director-level role is an individual contributor and can be located anywhere which allows you the flexibility to work from home and manage work-life balance. NOTE that this role requires approximately 20% - 25% world wide travel.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent, advanced degree preferred and/or an MBA with at least 16 years of EHS or related experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical environment.
  • Well versed in EHS management systems
  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience in regulated, multi-location environments, cross functional experience
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience with the implementation and sustainment of EHS compliance on a global scale.
  • Experience in PSM, SIF Prevention PtW System is required.
  • Experience in EHS compliance, EHS risk management and implementation of EHS programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Global Head of EHS about our operation, providing strategic specialist and professional advice as well as about the Global head of EHS’s plans for any upcoming adjustments or developments to business operations strategy, or our goals and objectives. Lead reporting and presentations efforts regarding goal achievement and strategy including annual goals achievement for Manufacturing within CSL.
  • Improve and coordinate multiple EHS meetings and participation in Manufacturing Leadership Team (MLT), OLT meetings (T4, Monthly strategy meeting, Town halls etc.). This includes maintaining agendas, driving main decisions and strategic topics for discussion, partnering with presenters, preparing minutes and following up with owners of allocated actions.
  • Oversee the EHS function budgeting, resource planning, stakeholder engagement, implementation and set up effective monitoring and evaluation systems.
  • Support interactions with any external forums and industry groups for VP EHS– preparing documents and ensuring CSL input and contribution.
  • Help integrate the EHSLT regarding planning, communication and integration across all applicable functions and geographies. Partnering with DSLs in CSL to agree on processes and coordinate on opportunities across departments.
  • Raise awareness, identifying leaders, and supporting ad hoc project teams, driving main programs and our goals.
  • Analyze performance metrics and provide reports as required. Improve current EHS reporting and governance processes and coordinate organizational ways of working for optimized efficiency and productivity.
