Who You Are
The Executive Communications function is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive executive communications strategy that elevates lululemon’s leadership profiles among internal and external audiences, driving the company’s strategic objectives.
As a key member of the Global Communications leadership team, the Director of Global Executive Communications will lead initiatives to engage, inspire and connect senior leaders at global and regional levels. The Director is responsible for building the strategic communications framework, overseeing key executive communications activities and supporting global projects across all communications functions.
The Director will report to the SVP, Global Communications & PR, and work closely with members of the SLT.

Your responsibilities

  • Continue to build the foundation for executive communications by creating a tailored approach for executive communications to support the company’s growth strategies and business opportunities.
  • Partner with lululemon’s senior leaders, including the SLT, to shape broader narratives that demonstrate and highlight the importance of values, sustainability, and innovation in lululemon’s broader business story.
  • Drive an integrated executive communications approach to elevate our leadership platform and expand awareness of the company’s leadership and vision, aligned with our position in the S&P 500.
  • Provide direct support to SLT members on their executive communications priorities, which includes writing, presentation development and strategic communications strategic guidance for key internal and external speaking opportunities.
  • Manage agencies and consultants who bring specialized expertise to executive communications management.
  • Manage and mentor team members, providing guidance for executive communications and executive operations including message development, strategic planning, and leadership operations.
  • Collaborate with the Global Communications Leadership Team to align efforts and identify executive communications opportunities that enhance and strengthen the company’s reputation and industry leadership position.
  • Cultivate and strengthen meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences.
  • Strategically position lululemon as an industry leader among targeted external audiences to enhance the company’s reputation.
  • Identify ways to deepen employee pride, satisfaction, and awareness regarding our commitment to living our values and reinforcing the strength of lululemon.
  • Develop and implement a process to evaluate and engage in executive speaking opportunities that will enhance our company’s positioning with shareholders, media, employees, and guests.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible, professional experience in public affairs communications and within a government agency, trade association or advocacy organization.
  • Experience working with directly with reporters, political entities, volunteers, the media, and coalitions
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a strong understanding of messaging and reputation management.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Success at collaborating with diverse groups of people and working effectively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience with crisis communications and rapid response.
  • Ability to set priorities in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Record of success developing CSR and social impact programs a plus.
  • Experience leading a complex issues management function and process.
  • Results-oriented, self-directed, inquisitive, and entrepreneurial-minded.
  • Ability to quickly adjust to unforeseen changes

    Authorization to work in Canada is required for this role.
    Compensation and Benefits Package
    lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $157,400 - 206,600 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
