- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
- Working experience in a similar role within a Finance Department, with strong communication skills.
- Microsoft Dynamics (D365), retail, multi-currency, multi-site, foreign language skills and experience of working with subsidiaries located overseas are highly desirable.
- A good understanding of business structure and the importance of accuracy of nominal ledger postings.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong investigatory, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- The ability to work under tight deadlines within a small team and help others within the team wherever possible.
- A proactive approach to work and a desire to streamline processes to increase productivity across the team.
Responsibilities:
As our Global Financial Accounting Manager – Fixed Assets and Intercompany, you will be accountable for:
- Overseeing global ownership and accurate accounting of all intangible and tangible assets across the group, ensuring alignment with the Group Accounting Manual and applicable standards.
- Collaborating with Camden Finance and IT teams to review intangible projects, ensuring proper cost capture through each project phase and conducting post-go-live reviews.
- Leading the global annual asset verification project to maintain accurate and complete asset registers, engaging stakeholders across the business.
- Ensuring proper capitalisation of items posted to the general ledger and assist with monthly intercompany reconciliations.
- Maintaining group ledgers in compliance with group and local statutory requirements, and assist in implementing, maintaining, and refining robust month-end processes and controls.
- Coordinating with regional peers to ensure ledger accuracy and timely completion of period-end deadlines for all entities.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, addressing, and resolving any issues in line with internal deadlines.
- Supporting interim and year-end audits by preparing necessary documentation for external auditors.
- Identifying and communicate any risks or opportunities to the Global Financial Accounting Manager and provide support and improvement insights to the finance team for operational efficiencies
