WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- An expert in corporate communications and brand marketing, with a strategic mindset
- Experience with corporate media
- An excellent communicator, relationship builder and adept at managing multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work with discretion and confidentiality, as needed
- Experience in a global internal communications management role, dealing with senior stakeholders in sensitive situations
- A track record of successful internal communications and employee engagement experience within a fast moving, international organisation
- Experience in managing, writing, developing and coordinating employee publications, communications and internal promotional material
- Highly proficient writing skills pertaining to the correct use of grammar, spelling and story construction techniques for various audiences. In particular with experience of delivering influential change and management communications
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate compelling directional support
- Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives

Responsibilities:
The Global Head of Brand Communications & Culture is responsible for the corporate communications of the brand at an international level.
In this strategic role, your objective is to promote the unique image and culture of Aesop both externally and internally. You will continuously enrich and protect the brand’s reputation, working in collaboration with global creative teams and countries. You define the corporate communication strategy under the responsibility of the Global Communications & Engagement Director. You will be accountable for the consistency of our communication actions and their ability to surprise and stand out from the norm. You will ensure the brand’s visibility throughout the year through initiatives, collaborations and partnerships that reinforce the brand’s cultural authority.
In this global role, you are responsible for leading Aesop’s global internal communications, ensuring all activities, assets and strategies are delivered in a timely and effective manner, building engagement with brand teams. You will also manage a team of communications experts. This is an influential role, which will require liaison with Aesop’s senior leadership team.
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to –
- Sense of Purpose Strategy: Developing and creating communication tools that highlight the brand’s vision and unique culture. These tasks involve close collaboration with the brand’s executive management. You ensure the dissemination of these tools across regions and countries
- Partnership and Collaboration Strategy: Leading the strategy, execution and coordination of major international partnerships in collaboration with the brand’s creative and marketing teams
- Communication Calendar: Creating and executing the brand’s communication calendar around key events that allow the brand to express its uniqueness and engage our audiences
- Heritage Valorization: Highlighting our heritage, especially in the fields of architecture and design
- Key Messages and Tools: Implementing key messages, creating messaging documents and Q&A materials
- Sustainability Amplification: Leading and executing strategies to amplify our sustainability efforts to all stakeholders, enhancing the awareness and understanding of Aesop’s commitments
- Corporate Press Activations: Managing corporate press activations to promote the brand, its heritage, culture, philosophy, and exceptional expertise, particularly in architecture and design. Managing our spokespersons during interview preparations and business announcements
- Leadership Communications: Overseeing leadership communications for the senior leadership of the brand (preparing for press interviews, conferences, LinkedIn posts)
- Internal Communication: Being responsible for the internal communication of the brand. Developing engaging tools to celebrate, inform, and mobilize our teams, particularly our retail consultants
- Group Collaboration: Working in collaboration with L’Oréal Group’s communication teams
- Crisis Management: Coordinating the management of sensitive and crisis issues under the responsibility of the Global Communications & Engagement Director.
This is a full time position operating with a hybrid working pattern, including 3 days on-site per week at Aesop’s Global Head Office. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
