Job Description
Join us as a Global Head of Customs & Foreign Trade Operations. You will define and drive adoption of a customs governance framework and establish a global customs and foreign trade organization. You will lead customs risk management efforts, harmonize valuation and taxation practices, design a global customs audit management process, and establish a unified framework for monitoring and analyzing duties on a global scale.
You will work to continuously improve the customs duty spend to bring value to the business while complying with legal regulations, and will manage global systems such as GTS, have alignment in IT/strategy amongst regions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Extensive experience in international trade, customs, finance, project management: applying regulations in all aspects of customs and foreign trade.
- High level of understanding of supply chain finance, transfer pricing and indirect tax practices in the light of international trade regulations.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to shape and build our function, and improve our global ways of working.
- Solid experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at different levels of the organisation.
- Experience of a multinational environment in a multicultural team and/or context.
- High level of understanding of logistics, customs regulations, and international transportation.
- Experience with global trade management solutions (e.g. SAP GTS, Amber Road, GT Nexus) for operations monitoring.
