Our Trust & Safety team’s commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.
It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance.

The Rapid Response team aims to ensure the safety of our users on the platform by handling all high-priority Trust & Safety escalations and global crises. The global team operates on a 24/7 model and aims to quickly and effectively handle high-risk escalations from multiple channels.
As the Global Head of Rapid Response, Trust & Safety, you will manage a global team of high-performing managers and work to set the global strategy from the ground up. You’ll work cross-functionally with partners in Government Relations, Comms, Product, Policy, and Legal to resolve crises in a timely and appropriate manner. You’ll also be growing the people managers in your team both in skills and domain expertise.
Responsibilities
What will I be doing?
- Build the global strategy for crisis and high-priority Trust & Safety incident management work and track the impact of a high-performing global team supporting our internal communications, government relations, and leadership partners across TikTok
- Manage a global team of high performing managers that span across APAC, the Americas, and EMEA
- Build strategic relationships and engage with global and cross-functional teams to understand and anticipate evolving Trust & Safety risks for the company and our users
- Identify and scope opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, improve quality, and implement scalable solutions.
Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience in internet services, process improvement, or customer support.
- Significant experience delivering global operations against core metrics in business operations, support operations, or management consulting roles, managing individuals, managers, and teams.
- Ability to work non-standard work weeks as escalations require.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree in related field (e.g., general business, operations management, analytical, technical).
- Experience or interest in content policy or trust and safety operations.
- Ability to work in a rapidly-changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights.
