SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in internal communications within a global organisation, with a proven track record of engaging diverse audiences.
  • Strong writing and editing skills to produce clear, engaging, and informative content for a range of internal audiences, including executive communications, newsletters, and corporate announcements.
  • Demonstrated experience working with C-suite executives and managing high-level meetings and presentations.
  • Strong understanding of cultural dynamics and sensitivity to language differences in a global workforce.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and engagingly.
  • A passion for exploring and implementing new digital communication tools and techniques.
  • Experience leading cultural transformation initiatives and managing change communication.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY PURPOSE & SCOPE:

Are you a seasoned communicator with a passion for engaging a diverse, global workforce? Join our team in Amsterdam as a Global Internal Communication Manager! In this role, you will shape and implement our internal communication strategy on a global scale, crafting messages that resonate across cultures and languages.
You’ll work closely with C-suite executives, drive innovative campaigns, and play a key role in our cultural transformation initiatives. Your efforts will directly influence organisational culture and engagement, offering you the chance to make a significant impact within a dynamic and diverse environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategy Development: Create and execute a comprehensive internal communication strategy that aligns with our company’s goals and enhances employee engagement across all levels and locations.
  • Executive Collaboration: Partner closely with C-suite officers to develop and disseminate key messages, ensuring they are aligned with organizational objectives and promote transparency.
  • Townhall planning: Organize and manage Townhall meetings and other company-wide events to foster effective communication and engagement with employees.
  • Campaign Design: Design innovative communication campaigns using various channels and tools to effectively reach our global audience, including newsletters, intranet, and social media.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Tailor communication strategies to accommodate cultural sensitivities and language diversity, ensuring messages resonate with diverse employee segments.
  • Cultural Transformation: Support and guide cultural transformation initiatives, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging throughout the organisation.
  • Employer Branding: Develop and drive initiatives to enhance our Employer Branding.
  • Effectiveness Monitoring: Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communication initiatives, using feedback and metrics to refine strategies and enhance engagement.
