POSTING DESCRIPTION
As an Associate in the Global Investment Banking coverage team, you will be heavily involved in transaction execution, marketing and other client coverage initiatives, as well as playing a part in driving the culture, overall strategy, and growth of the business.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS
- Prior work experience in an investment banking and an awareness of the products and services provided
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
- Strong financial modelling skills
- A general understanding of the M&A and capital markets transaction cycle and processes involved
- Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other product groups
- Proactive, highly motivated, and committed with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively

Responsibilities:
- Participate in the “full cycle” of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal and client presentations
- Play a leadership role in implementing the execution function including working with, and supporting, analysts as well as assisting more senior bankers
- Demonstrate your analytical, modelling, writing and presentation skills
- Be knowledgeable about the global and Australian sectors and its participants and will collaborate closely with colleagues across JP Morgan’s global platform as well as the Australian product groups
- Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, and aligned with J.P. Morgan’s growth aspirations
- Contribute to the development and learning of analysts working in the Global coverage group as well as the Australian product groups
