Description:

THE PROFILE

The successful candidate will have previous business experience, with a particular understanding of procurement, manufacturing and finance. Expertise related to specific subcategories, project management and strong problem solving and analytical skills are also necessary for this role. Experience in manufacturing inventory management in a high-volume environment is also required. The individual must be able to demonstrate an ability to think strategically and argue persuasively for a course of action and be able to balance a strong strategic point of view with the ability to listen, adapt and bring others along.
The postholder will be a skilled influencer and an effective and pro-active communicator who will be able to effectively interact with peers, subordinates, internal and external customers and vendors within virtual teams, with excellent oral, written and presentation skills. A keen attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-moving environment is required. The individual will also need to show a familiarity with enterprise workflow platforms and have proven skills in interpersonal and management skills and skills in delivering complex, enterprise-wide changing programs.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Manager Global Procurement, the Global IT Category Manager will be responsible for the Orbia wide category sourcing plan for IT (Professional Services, Hardware and Software), but could also be available for responsibility in CAPEX. They are responsible for delivering the benefits associated with the sub-category / commodity for which he/she is accountable. They will foster supplier relationships associated with the category and will work closely with the stakeholders in all functional areas to deliver benefits across the specific sub-category / commodity. They maintain close relationships with senior stakeholders to manage the innovation process with suppliers and to align on long term development needs, plus value adding opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Services Category to make the category work efficiently and to make sure all KPI’s are met
  • Contribute to the Enterprise-wide category sourcing plan, focusing on the benefits achievement and plans related to the category
  • Continuous drive for optimizing working capital, costs and service. Oversee and deliver annual value improvements
  • Oversee and deliver sourcing strategies, processes and management of key suppliers
  • Measure and track performance of spend category and define budgetary impact
  • Develop and manage relationships with key groups of business stakeholders
  • Manage the network of external partners for activities or projects related to the Services Category
  • Adequate response to fulfilment performance and delivery issues with functional (Infrastructure, Apps and Cybersecurity) stakeholders
  • Coordinated and aligned methods with Business Partners and Territory Procurement teams to continuously monitor and enhance contract partners’ performance
  • Responsible for Procurement metrics: savings, contract compliance, supplier base management, payment term optimization
  • Supplier base reduction
