Description:
SKILLS AND EXPIERENCE REQUIRED
- Experience resolving user-based IT/Telephony hardware and software issues and incidents effectively.
- Proficiency with core Microsoft technologies to support desktop and infrastructure needs.
- Worked in a service delivery environment using service desk application tools and adhering to best practices.
- Ability to deliver and manage client/server solutions, including defining local requirements and delivering approved solutions.
- Experience supporting IP and exchange-based telephony/fax services for seamless communication.
- Knowledge of infrastructure patching and managing cabinets to maintain system integrity.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
As a Global IT Local Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring seamless, round-the-clock support for all in-scope IT infrastructure. From client hardware, software, and printers to telephony, servers, network devices, and peripherals, you’ll be the go-to expert within your geographical area (typically a country, with occasional assignments beyond).
Your mission? Deliver exceptional IT support that keeps the business running smoothly. Partnering with colleagues, support teams, and key stakeholders, you’ll ensure systems are optimized, service levels are met, and customer satisfaction remains high.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support all IT infrastructure, including client hardware, software, printers, telephony, peripherals, servers, and network devices within the geographical area.
- Ensure the CMDB/local asset management system is up-to-date with detailed records of all deployed systems in the assigned area.
- Successfully manage local system replacements or upgrades to maintain operational efficiency.
- Maintain and test the local IT business continuity plan in collaboration with the local/regional BCP team.
- Assist in project activities, such as deploying new services, systems, hardware, applications, upgrades, and IT infrastructure changes (e.g., cabling).
- Manage and assist in audit and compliance activities to meet required standards.
