Description:
Job title: Global Legal Compliance Lead
Department: Legal
Location: Fareham, UK
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (mix of office and home working)
JOB SUMMARY – WHAT TO EXPECT:
As Global Compliance Lead for CooperVision, you’ll prepare, roll-out and project manage a comprehensive ethics and compliance programme, aligned with, and supporting CooperCompanies compliance initiatives and policies. The candidate will also work on matters related to global trade compliance, with a focus on sanctions, as well as leading, supporting and co-ordinating global projects and initiatives relating to Global Legal Operations.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop, recommend and maintain up to date policies and practices strengthening compliance across CooperVision, in alignment with CooperCompanies.
- Work with the Legal team to schedule and conduct training on compliance issues.
- Work with the wider business and Legal team, to establish compliance horizon scanning activities.
- Identify key areas of risk and implement risk and compliance remediation initiatives.
- Assist with instructing and managing external counsel, as required, to advise on global trade compliance matters, with a particular focus on sanctions.
- Provide assistance with analysing, implementing and managing internal processes necessary to ensure compliance with global trade compliance legislation, with a particular focus on sanctions.
- Lead, support and co-ordinate global projects and initiatives relating to Global Legal Operations to drive consistency, efficiency and shared best practice.
- Implement scalable legal process improvements that support business growth whilst maintaining compliance.
- Lead and manage ad hoc risk and compliance projects.
