Job Title: Global Nutrition Cluster Operations Team Coordinator, Programmes
Organization: Action Against Hunger Canada / Action contre la Faim Canada
Report To: Technical Services Director
Location: International (preferably within the GMT+3 time zone)
Job Type: Full-Time, 6-month contract with a possibility of extension.
Start Date: November 2024
Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: CAD 100K – 120K
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- University degree in nutrition, public health, or related development studies; or equivalent combination of education and work experience in emergencies and program management.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience managing humanitarian programs.
- Extensive experience in and understanding of working within the cluster system, with extensive networks in this field.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and working with partners and donors.
- Experience in managing large, multi-donor programmes within the humanitarian sector.
- Demonstrated experience in writing successful proposals.
- Experience in nutrition and public health or related fields in direct humanitarian response is preferable.
- Technical expertise in nutrition including IYCF-E, CMAM, assessments, SBC, Nutrition in Emergencies, and capacity building is preferable.
- Experience in leading and coordinating a strategic planning process and its execution is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES
- Proven record of partnership-building skills (facilitating dialogue and communications across diverse sectors, institutions, and geographic administrative levels).
- Excellent writing, oral, and visual presentation skills.
- Ability to assess priorities and competently complete a variety of activities with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work across multiple time zones.
- Ability to initiate and implement activities with minimal oversight and supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc).
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in one additional language (French, Spanish, or Arabic).
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The GNC Operations Team Coordinator, Programmes, will lead and coordinate all aspects of the GNC Operations Team, Programme Support, including oversite of the use of all GNC Operations Team resources, the provision of programme support, donor engagement, fundraising and project management, the strategic direction of the GNC Operations Team and working with partners in their overall involvement in the GNC. The incumbent will work closely with the GNC Programme Leadership Team, the Action Against Hunger Canada team, the Deputy GNC Operations Team Coordinator, the Program Officer, the Programme Advisors, the technical lead agencies and partners, donors, the deployment steering committee, and external partners.
