POSITION OVERVIEW
We are on a quest to raise brand perception, market penetration, increase engagement and shift brand narrative for the company.
The Global PR Director role will help shape the stories we put out in the world and reposition us in the minds of customers and prospects, from our heritage of being a software licensing expert to being the global leader in end-to-end software and cloud solutions that we are today. This is a new role with the scope to grow and progress your career within a transforming organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute and report on our global external communication strategy – spanning customer facing PR/Media Relations, and all social media and owned channels (including our web properties)
- Be the core point of contact for a network of agencies and local PR initiatives to implement the global strategy in our major markets
- Oversee a PR editorial calendar, help craft the company narrative, identify newsjacking or thought leadership opportunities, leverage content/campaign initiatives, track competitors and industry events in the news
- Use your existing media relationships to secure business, tech and trade press interviews with senior and business leadership or work with agencies to do so
- Work with our social media team to improve SoftwareOne’s engagement and reach on owned channels by identifying and implementing new approaches
- Work with content marketing and case study teams to develop creative and newsworthy story angles and ideas to ensure an integrated owned/earned media strategy
- Engage with the investor, analyst and internal communications teams to ensure unified communications and consistent messaging across multiple audiences
- Write and review the distribution of all non-financial company press releases and partner announcements; manage distribution in non-financial channels
- Act as the point of contact for incoming non-financial press enquiries
- Manage media training for identified customer facing spokespeople
- Manage customer facing executive bios and image library for press use
- With the Global Leader, develop and maintain measurement strategies, track earned media, social and sentiment analysis and report back on progress achieved
- Develop messaging and briefing documents for executives and prepare them for interviews
- Create a regular round-up of social and media coverage to be shared with senior leadership
- Manage and update the corporate communications policy, collaborating with Investor Communications; maintain the partner PR policy
- Create and maintain a crisis communications plan
