Overview:
Are you an experienced Global Procurement Senior Buyer looking for your next career opportunity? If so, this opportunity on our Procurement team could be the one for you.
You would be a key member of the Beverage Flavours and Seasonings Procurement Team for PepsiCo Global Solutions (PGCS). The role reports into the Procurement Director, Flavours & Seasonings and will be based in Cork.
Responsibilities:
THE KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR THIS POSITION WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Develop category strategies for assigned vendors / categories, secure stakeholder signoff, and drive implementation of initiatives
- Work in close collaboration with partner functions (incl. R&D, Supply Chain etc) to develop and implement optimal sourcing strategies
- Negotiate and manage the purchase of ingredients, technologies and flavours, ensuring competitive market prices
- Perform in depth analysis for category spend including understanding of supply sources, supplier capability, industry economics, designs and technology, pricing, and duty/freight barriers
- Ensure raw materials sourced are in compliance with sourcing standards. Collaborate with Supplier Quality Assurance & R&D to maintain a Vendor Qualification / Approval Program and determine improvement needs across the supply chain
- Lead cross-vendor / cross-team scope areas such as productivity, localisation, BCP, financial planning, energy, supplier annual reviews etc.
- Lead oversight / spend management activities for other PEP entities as applicable, e.g. PMF

- Excellent communication skills with an ability to build relationships with a wide array of people of different cultural backgrounds, countries of origin, and organizational positions including the ability to manage and align stakeholders within a matrix organisation;
- Excellent project management skills with proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments;
- Proven ability for excellence in numeracy and strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail;
- Ability to work in matrix organization; handle competing priorities; influence others to meet new product schedule needs;
- Possess strong business/commercial acumen allied with the ability to see bigger picture
