Description:
ABOUT YOU:
- 10 years of Marketing Procurement experience in a strategic sourcing role, with historic excellency in Marketing goods and services sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
- Experience in Global Procurement: Candidates must have demonstrated experience working in global procurement with international agencies. Familiarity with U.S. procurement practices is essential.
- Proven ability to challenge current practice, seek alternative options and challenge convention.
- Ability to support and develop team members.
- Able to work without supervision and that is adaptable to changes in the work environment including the reassessment of category and business priorities.
- Applied experience in the understanding of legal issues, contractual principles, and negotiation techniques used in the development of complex contractual agreements.
- Excellent and proven communicating and influencing skills to senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong data analytical abilities to drive actionable insights and develop compelling messages.
- Proven ability for effective and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Track record of successful people management.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to mark up contracts to agreed templates and fall-back positions.
- Passion for working in a fast paced and innovative business environment.
- Knowledge of US/EU regulations impacting procurement and contracting, including data privacy laws.
- Experience in eSourcing and eAuctions techniques utilising Ariba, Workday, Oracle, Coupa, or other similar procurement systems.
- English proficiency is a must and only applications submitted in English will be considered.
- Procurement/Supply Chain certification preferred (e.g., CPSM, CPP, CIPS, SPSM, or CSCP).

Job Description Summary
Fantastic opportunity to join McAfee in an influential role as Marketing Category lead within the Global Procurement Services (GPS). In this role you will be accountable for the global Category Management and Strategic Sourcing activities across the Marketing category globally including but not limited to media, agency, advertising, market research, public relations, promotion services, market data / analytics.
Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement with responsibility to manage third party supplier spend of c.$80m per annum across c. 60 suppliers. Key activities include deep business partnering to understand key priorities and needs and the engagement and management of our suppliers through designing and delivering category, sourcing and supplier relationship management strategies.
This is a remote position based in Canada. We will only consider candidates currently in Canada and are not offering relocation assistance at this time
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Global Category ownership and execution of multi-year marketing category strategies; including data gathering, value generation, and supplier relationship management.
- Drive competition, innovation, supplier performance, and continuous improvement in alignment with corporate and business unit strategy and financial goals.
- Partner and develop deep relationships with Marketing and Communication team(s) to help deliver upon business strategies and priorities.
- Implement a partnership engagement model to influence and support business strategy leveraging market insights and align sourcing and category strategies.
- Serve as a thought partner and actively challenge work to deploy the most comprehensive and creative solutions; remove barriers for team to ensure its ability to execute.
- A leader within the Procurement organization that champions change and the McAfee culture.
- Work with our Strategic vendors to further develop relationships.
- Build detailed knowledge of existing Marketing (including Agency) Services cost models whilst also having the ability to develop innovative commercials models that align to the needs of the business.
- Partner across the business to jointly develop cost reduction strategies. Drive the analysis and reporting on spend to identify, build sponsorship for and pursue new savings opportunities.
