YOUR SKILLS
- Experience: 4-5 years of professional experience in strategic sourcing and sustainability, preferably within FMCG industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering, sustainability, environmental science, business management, or a related field.
- Sustainability Expertise: 2+ years of experience in sustainability management or related roles, ideally within the chemical industry.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Project Management: Proven project management skills, including planning, execution, and evaluation of sustainability initiatives.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Passion for Sustainability: A genuine passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental and social impact.

Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Collaborate on crafting sustainable strategies for assigned product categories, aligning with Henkel’s Consumer Brands Sustainability Ambition and Purchasing Responsible Sourcing strategies.
- Impact Identification: Identify opportunities to enhance sustainability across the supply chain, including Raw Materials, Packaging, and Contract Manufacturing. This involves addressing key impact areas like emission reduction, safety, biodiversity, circularity, and risk mitigation.
- Strategy Implementation: Work closely with Category and Consumer Brands teams to implement defined sustainable strategies.
- Expert Consultation: Serve as a trusted advisor to the purchasing team, providing guidance on sustainability assessments, project execution, and negotiations.
- Project Management: Support the successful completion of sustainability lighthouse projects with suppliers.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to team workstreams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Reporting and Analysis: Support the reporting of audit-relevant sustainability KPIs and financial data.
