DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Global Service Development Manager to lead our GSD. This senior project management expert will oversee the product development process.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project management, product and service development, and a deep understanding of the product development cycle and strategy. They should possess an entrepreneurial spirit, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent communication and networking skills.
Key responsibilities include human-centred design, ‘follow-me-home’ research, product marketing, and pricing, as well as collaborating on service development with stakeholders like Fairtrade International and National Fairtrade Organisations.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 5 years in an office and customer-oriented environment.
  • University degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Training or proven experience in project management (e.g., Agile, Lean, Scrum, Prince II (must have) training or proven experience in strategic product or service development and knowledge and expertise in assurance business (nice to have).
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills; Leader with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills, ability to communicate technical topics in simple terms.
  • Capacity to liaise and connect with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and customers.
  • Curious mindset, solution-oriented, flexible with the ability to see “Big Picture”.
  • Fluent in English (preferably also German, French, or Spanish).
  • Experience working in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Good understanding of a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Self-starter with business acumen and ability to navigate a politically complex environment.
  • Ability to travel for business when required.
  • Motivation for Fairtrade

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop service development processes under consideration of existing SD process.
  • Present new ideas and solutions to leadership committees to gain commitment and approval.
  • Drive the development of prioritised products and services through all stakes of the entire product life cycle from ideation to Go-To-Market.
  • Understand customer needs and market demands deeply.
  • Use “Follow me home” approach
  • Define key product metrics and enable team to measure, track, and report these metrics regularly.
  • Align product road maps with business strategy in collaboration with Business Relations, Delivery Teams, and Fairtrade Stakeholders.
  • Build, manage, lead and motivate temporary cross-departmental and cross-organisational teams for service projects.
  • Collaborate on service development with relevant units internally and with Fairtrade stakeholders to define a vision, strategy, and road map for FLOCERT and Fairtrade products and services.
  • Facilitate the transfer and adoption of product development knowledge and methodologies across the global Fairtrade landscape.
  • Represent FLOCERT and its services both internally and externally.
  • Optimise the strategic direction, structure, and workflows of FLOCERT Global Service Development team and method.
