Formal qualifications

  • Min, bachelor’s degree in relevant field and industry
  • Practical Experience from relevant industry and personal suitability might outweigh formal qualifications
  • Preferable with experience in managing international teams
  • Preferable to be familiar with our skate operations
  • Familiarity with scheduling of people in unpredictable markets
  • A digital mindset and skills are preferable – E.g.: some computer programming understanding
  • The position will require travelling

Responsibilities:

Are you passionate about innovative technology, good at planning and have experience in managing global teams? If yes, then you might be the perfect candidate for the Global Skate Operations Manager position at Jotun!
As the Global Skate Operations Manager, you will lead and develop the Global Skate Operations team, which is responsible for delivering our skate operations services for vessels worldwide. You will have personnel responsibility for a team of eight employees located in our HUBs in Singapore, Athens, Busan and Mumbai.
You will be based in Norway, at our headquarter in Sandefjord where you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve and innovate our Hull Skater technology and services. You will also oversee the planning and execution of skate operations, which happen all over the world. This is a unique opportunity to join a company in growth and to work with ground breaking innovative technology that will contribute to a cleaner and more efficient maritime industry.

Job responsibilities

  • Personnel responsibility for employees in the Global Skate Operations
  • Manage Jotun’s Skate Operations Globally, operational planning and reporting as well as maintaining the overall service level and quality.
  • Develop the Skate Operations team to meet the growing demands of the business in an efficient and cost-effective way
  • Coordinate the evaluation of vessels suitability for HSS operations through ‘’Vessel feasibility studies’’
  • Manage service delivery organization – post Dry Docking/Delivery
  • Ensure Process and policies are in place for Skate operations globally
  • Develop and utilize an operational and reporting system
  • Ensure a complaint/near miss reporting system is utilized, updated and follow up on and Gather data and insights from the operations as part of continuous improvement
  • Responsible for training and training material for Skate Operators
  • Provide input on operational performance KPIs to all stakeholders and Sr. Management
  • Take part in some customer meetings where Operational issues are of importance
