DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

Our Procurement function is front, and centre of our business and we now have a requirement for a ‘Global Indirect Sourcing Manager’ to join an established Indirect team and to deliver value across various Key Categories across Scientific Affairs including Research and Development, Clinical Studies, Clinical Trials, Product Testing, Laboratory Supplies and Laboratory Outsourcing/Insourcing.

Location: Dublin Office.
Hybrid working model, 3 days per week onsite, 2 days per week remote working.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Proven ability to manage high spend, high complexity Global RFx processes with demonstrable competency in all stages of the sourcing process with a background of Scientific Affairs Procurement.
  • Understanding of CSR and Sustainability Goals
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Sourcing Category Management role
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Knowledge on best practices and main Industry trends with the ability to identify synergies across multiple categories utilising an E2E mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities
  • Solid track record meeting substantial savings targets and improving working capital.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills
  • High level understanding of Contractual Terms and Conditions
  • Ability to work with a continuous improvement mindset
  • MS Office skills in Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook
  • SAP/Ariba knowledge and navigation skills would be advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Savings – Review and manage category spend and identify opportunities for cost improvements without negatively impacting quality or service.
  • Benchmark best practices and industry trends with Internal and external business partners to build a pipeline of savings and value creation opportunities
  • Develop and implement the Category Strategies utilising key internal and external partnerships
  • Lead the engagement with the required internal stakeholders to drive main initiatives and projects
  • Represent Procurement in multifunctional initiatives including spend and vendor consolidation where required as part of M&A activity
  • RFx Project Management - Responsible for the end-to-end Category Management process through collaboration and consultation with business stakeholders.
  • Contract Management– Partner with the Procurement Legal Team and External Counsel as required to manage contract redlines, terms of business and drive the required governance on corporate and department policies.
  • Implement Master Service Agreements (MSA’s) and Statements of Work (SoW’s) for inbound good and services
  • Supplier Performance Management - Monitor performance and delivery of contracted services within your categories
  • Reporting - Spend analysis and budget management
