Description:

The Senior Financial Analyst reports to Financial Analysis, Manager I and is primarily responsible for partnering with US transportation operations leadership team to support monthly forecast reporting, close activities, budget, and monthly business review preparation for North America Inter Plant Facility and Customer Delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Four (4) to six (6) of experience in Accounting and/or Finance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA, CMA or MBA
  • SAP Experience a strong plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, PowerPoint), Power BI, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to support relationships with all levels of management and between functions
  • Self-motivated, thought leader, strong analytical and organizational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • Strong presentation, facilitation and training of peers workshop abilities
  • Results oriented, proactive, and possesses a high level of integrity

Responsibilities:

  • Drive monthly accounting, standard costing, forecasting, annual planning and reporting of NA Logistics IPF Spend totaling ~$70M in annual spend.
  • Will also provide support to broader NA Transportation operations which includes $270M NA Customer Delivery operations (outbound to customer).
  • Key finance partner with Transportation leadership to drive strong performance through financial discipline, measuring key projects, budgeting and SOE’s review.
  • Drive accountability-based reporting and performance KPI trends, measurements along with performing variation analysis ensuring volume/spend/absorption looks clear and broken down to the right accountability levels.
  • Support implementation (as key user/SME) newly available data resources to more efficiently & consistently measure drivers of costs, improve results, create efficiencies in our processes/reporting specifically replacing legacy/disparate reporting, bringing focus to lane & carrier cost/trend review along with better linkage of GPC spend to GL/EPM results.
  • Lead weekly and monthly IPF operational financial review process of spend, volume/absorption that enables quick decision making and actionable next steps.
  • Strategic financial partner on projects including Power Steering reporting for Logistics NA & Project Day, tracking/reporting against plan TDC along with financial modeling & sensitivity analysis for IPF specific projects.
  • Works closely with Division Finance teams to provide insight and analytics on monthly results while enhancing existing and developing new reporting and processes for providing insights into IPF costs impacting division gross margin.
  • Provides reporting, analytic and presentation support to senior management, including the VP NA Logistics and NA Operations Controller.
