Global Supply Chain Sustainability & Compliance Lead
Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for a Global Supply Chain Sustainability & Compliance Lead to join our team.

Role Summary:
You will lead research, gather data and build out ideas and recommendations in support of Supply Chain Sustainability & Compliance strategy and initiatives. This position will play a significant role in advancing programs related to supply chain risk mitigation that ensures product compliance across the Global Manufacturing organization and network of sites. This role will be responsible for owning or stewarding these programs and serving as expert advisors to the internal and external groups focusing on risk, resiliency, sustainability, and supply chain compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Ontic supply Chain Sustainability Strategy or Roadmap in partnership with Global Business location strategies, Site Supply Chain leaders, Global Logistics, and other key cross-functional peers.
  • Recommend this strategy to Ontic C-Suite, Global Senior Operations & Ontic General Counsel & Business Compliance for ongoing oversight and reporting on progress.
  • Develop new programs and metrics to measure progress toward Supply chain sustainability strategic roadmap.
  • Monitor industry and supply chain trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices to develop supply chain sustainability strategy across all regions and supply chain activities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess ESG-related risks within the supply chain, develop mitigation strategies, and implement robust risk management processes to safeguard against potential disruptions.
  • Partnering with 3rd party reporting vendor to capture and report out data that matters to the initiatives set forth by the company for sustainability and product compliance.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess ESG-related risks within the supply chain, develop mitigation strategies, and implement robust risk management processes to safeguard against potential disruptions.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives and regularly report on progress to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyse, estimate, or propose potential funding or financial investment required for supply chain sustainability initiatives.
  • Identify, develop, and embed changes across supply chain operations to deliver organizational sustainability ambitions, commitments, and targets.
  • Identify and leverage internal stakeholders e.g., finance, engineering, legal, PMO, and public relations to progress sustainability agenda.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, or related field approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in supply chain management, sustainability, or related fields, with a focus on governance and compliance.
  • Experience in policy creation and training with well versed project management skills.
  • Detailed understanding of environmental impacts in the Supply Chain.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability standards, regulations, and best practices, with experience in implementing and monitoring compliance programs.
  • Proven track record in data analysis, reporting, and providing support to strategic initiatives
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in conducting supplier assessments, audits, and managing corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a virtual global team environment that contributes to the overall timely delivery of multiple projects.
  • Willingness to travel to sites/supplier locations.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, well organized, self-start with strong self-initiative and be a doer
  • Must be self-disciplined, structured, possess strong communication and follow-up with a visible social presence.
  • Strong understanding of ESG principles, sustainability frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB), and relevant regulations (e.g., REACH, RoHS, PFAS).
  • Proven track record of implementing sustainability initiatives and driving positive change within complex supply chains.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, problem solving and influencing skills.
  • Expertise in analysing data, development of key metrics, establishing trends, project management and reporting.
