Description:

REQUIREMENTS

  • CPA or equivalent tax qualification is preferred
  • 10 years of professional experience in a leading accounting firm and/or as in-house tax manager in an international company, primarily on direct taxes but also familiarity with indirect taxes
  • Experience with European taxation- Experience with tax compliance and managing tax audits
  • Understanding of BEPS and OECD developments
  • Experience working with external advisors across different regions and time zones
  • Experience in crypto industry or fintech preferred but not essential
  • Proficiency in more than one European languages highly preferred
  • Familiarity with multinational working environment and ability to work independently
  • Strategic and logical thinking with the ability to interpret and present findings with clarity
  • Self-motivated, proactive, ability to work independently, organised and ability to work to deadlines
  • Team-oriented person with ability to lead projects involving staff locally or abroad

Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance:
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, corporate tax prepayments, withholding tax forms for cross-border payment and other relevant tax filings for various jurisdictions.
  • Gather and organize financial data and supporting documentation required for tax filings.
  • Ensure timely submission of all tax returns and payments to avoid penalties and interest.Advise and project-manage exchange of information requests and crypto tax reporting frameworks


    • Tax Reporting:

    • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
    • Assist in the preparation of tax-related disclosures for financial statements and regulatory filings.
    • Tax Planning and Advisory:
    • Proactively advising the business with effective risk management measures and efficient tax solutions
    • Support the Regional Tax Directors in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimize the corporation’s tax position.
    • Agility in managing tax implications of business transformation in a fast pace environment
    • Assist in the preparation of tax memoranda and presentations for internal stakeholders.
    • Tax Research and Analysis:
    • Keeping up to date with changes in tax policy that may impact the business.
    • Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings in various jurisdictions to ensure compliance and identify tax-saving opportunities.
    • Assist in analyzing the tax implications of business transactions and corporate initiatives.
    • Audit and Compliance Support:
    • Assist in responding to tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
    • Gather and organize documentation and information required for tax audits and compliance reviews.
    • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve tax compliance and reporting processes.
    • Assist in the implementation of tax technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other members of the Tax Department and cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Legal, Operations) to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
    • Communicate effectively with external advisors and tax authorities as needed.
