Description:

The Global Technology Chief Data & Analytics Office team is thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a tech-savvy Data Privacy Senior Associate. Our team is focused on fostering sensible data risk management practices across the Global Technology organization. We are looking for candidates who can skillfully balance business requirements with the intersection of technology, data privacy, and data protection across firmwide technology services, AI/ML solutions, and products. This role involves privacy impact assessments and advising technical teams to implement scalable solutions that empower the business to be data-driven while safeguarding data assets. You’ll collaborate with data development teams to explore innovative data uses and recommend Data Privacy by Design and Default features.
This role will center on the protection of Personal Information and Confidential Information of both the organization, its partners and customers. This role will assist in maintaining standards coverage and compliance with GDPR, the EU AI Act and other emerging Data Protection laws. The role will also support efforts to strengthen and improve communications on top privacy regulatory risks, trends and issues from a technology perspective.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 3+ years of related experience; Financial Services or Regulatory experience preferred.
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft365 and other reporting tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Prior experience protecting Personal Information and Confidential Data in a global organization.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, in particular in leading or contributing to global and multi-functional teams.
  • Understanding of global privacy laws, regulations, and compliance requirements (GDPR, the EU AI Act etc.).
  • Proven curiosity and desire for continuous learning around emerging technologies and data management practices.
  • Ability to manage parallel workstreams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting with data privacy initiatives for Global Technology.
  • Evaluate organization-wide privacy projects, initiatives, and data protection impact assessments by performing Data Privacy by Design and Default assessments of operational processes, identifying, and mitigating risks through effective tools, training, and guidance.
  • Lead data use initiatives and working group forums to improve processes and strategies pertaining to use of data.
  • Develop and maintain Data Privacy policies, technology data governance standards, and guidance materials for the organization.
  • Stay current on relevant Data Privacy and Data Protection laws, regulations, best practices and horizon scan for impact and risk to the organization from localization regulations. Enhance data privacy and Data Privacy by Design and Default guidance to technology teams when changes in laws, regulations, or company policies apply.
  • Prepare and communicate status, issues, and key decisions to project stakeholders and executives, committees and forums.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects utilizing core project management disciplines.
  • Lead meetings, prepare agendas and meeting minutes, facilitate the completion of action items and drive workflows to timely completion.
