This position is perfect for a proactive manager with a strong background in digital paid media and a deep understanding of how both online and offline channels influence the customer journey. The role involves working closely with campaign planners, agencies, and local markets to scrutinise and enhance performance across various paid media platforms, including search (paid and organic), social, and video, as well as other marketing activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in omnichannel digital marketing for both B2B and B2C, proficiency in A/B testing, a strong leader, and the ability to integrate organic brand channels effectively into the media mix. A key part of the role is using data and insights to drive sales for eCommerce and regional teams.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Leadership Skills: Excel in managing relationships at all levels within the organisation. While you control the budget, successful collaboration is key across various teams and projects.
  • Communication Skills: Articulate complex ideas clearly to leaders and engage with marketing experts as equals, using verbal, written, and visual formats.
  • Market Acumen: Proven ability to stay ahead in the dynamic search media space, anticipating trends in attribution, marketing technology, and search engine updates.
  • Analytical Ability: Deep analytical skills with proficiency in marketing platforms and data analysis tools. Able to convert data into strategic actions.
  • Agency Management: Experience in managing agency partnerships, with a knack for optimising and navigating Google platforms.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Innovative and resourceful approach to marketing challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Hurtigruten’s brand growth by leading paid media acquisition campaigns, focusing on achieving cost-effective customer acquisition and maximising lifetime value.
  • Stay at the forefront of performance marketing with expertise in platforms like Google Ads, SA/DV360, and Microsoft Ads, using data to enhance customer acquisition strategies.
  • Leading a growing team, ensuring clear mandates for the team with a strong growth mindset.
  • Spearhead Hurtigruten’s revenue growth and customer acquisition through expert Paid Search, YouTube, SEO, Shopping, Programmatic, paid social and Affiliate marketing strategies.
  • Manage a significant media budget for performance media campaigns to meet Hurtigruten’s ambitious acquisition goals.
  • Collaborate with wider marketing teams, regional teams, and agencies to continuously refine paid media channel performance.
  • Develop partnerships with major media platforms like Google and Microsoft Ads to access advanced media buying tools and resources.
  • Maintain campaign setup integrity for accurate reporting and results tracking.
  • Innovate to expand audience reach and improve current strategies and tactics.
  • Deliver bi-weekly and monthly performance forecasts to leadership with precision.
