JOB SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to assist with planning and logistics of Grouse Mountain hosted events and provide overall departmental support for the Marketing & Events team. Events include The Peak of Christmas, Seek the Peak, and the Grouse Grind Mountain Run, amongst many others. The Marketing & Events Coordinator will report to the Marketing & Events Manager and also work closely with the Events Specialist.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
- Successful completion of post-secondary degree or diploma (marketing preferred)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high demand environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail orientated and extremely organized with time management skills
- Committed work ethic; positive work attitude
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in event planning an asset
- Experience using email marketing platforms an asset
- Ability to work evening, weekend and statutory holidays, when required
