Description:
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

Responsible for all payment transactions on the shift and to report any discrepancies to the Director of Golf.
To deputise in the Golf Shop in the absence of the DOG & report any issues or complaints highlighted throughout the day.
Ensure activity sheets are filled out and given to the DOF on a daily basis.
To provide a high quality retail environment for all members, visitors and The Resort residents.
To provide a high level of service to all Golf members & customers, to ensure that financial targets are attained and that customer satisfaction is achieved.
Contribute to retail policy and stock ordering, to maximize revenue potential.
To assist in general shop and service-related duties to ensure functioning of Golf Shop as both retail and service environment.
To assist the DOG in the coordination of Golf Events as and when needed, ensuring that all customers are looked after in a friendly and timely fashion.
To carry out other duties as may be required to ensure the The Resort Operation is properly maintained to provide total guest satisfaction.
To be responsible for stock control, transfers and movements
To purchase and present a range of merchandise and equipment appropriate to the image and requirements of the Company, in order to develop a reputation for retail excellence.
To achieve financial targets set by the DOG.
To help prepare financial targets and ensure maximum profitability of department.
To achieve designated The Resort profit margins by generating turnover against cost of sales.
To manage Golf Shop associates and relay any staff issues to the DOF.
To develop a retail strategy to meet the needs of various customer markets.
To ensure training and development of golf shop associates are carried out.
To ensure all statutory requirements are maintained and legal obligations met.
To ensure all customer expectations for service delivery are met and exceeded.
To set and continually monitor the retail standards
Attend and participate in department meetings.
Ensure open communication is maintained at all times with all The Resort departments.
To carry out any other reasonable requests made by management.
Arrive at work on time dressed in full clean uniform, well groomed and presenting a professional appearance in line with the The Resort Grooming SOP.
