JOB DESCRIPTION

We are recruiting a Stores Person to work for our client in Cork. This role would suit a person who has experience in a large food based, hospitality operation. The role is 39 hours per week. (5 days over 7).
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager the Stores Person will undertake stores duties including; unpacking, sorting, storage of food and beverage supplies for the food services client. Keeping accurate records to ensure stores are fully stocked, accounted for and secure at all times. Assisting with preparation of stock orders ready for dispatch to hand over to colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Attention to detail when storing and preparing deliveries for service
  • Ability to co-operate with managers and work as part of a team
  • A working knowledge of stores dispatch and record keeping
  • Hands on operator
  • Flexibility to work shifts
  • Professionalism and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business

Responsibilities:

  • Unpacking goods in an orderly manner, to enable goods to be easily located , in order to find and complete each service on time.
  • Storing goods in line with H&S and HACCP regulations
  • Maintaining health & safety standards and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (H&S and HACCP) for food premises, including the ISO quality standard
  • Completing stock records; recording goods in, goods dispatched and wastage
  • Ensuring all stock is accounted for, from waste management, good inwards, dispatch and return of goods.
  • Reporting breakages, wastages, or missing stock to the Manager
  • Completing spot checks and stock taking
  • Complying with and implementing all CCSL/ CFSL policies and procedures and client specific requirements
  • Supporting the kitchen team with KP & wash-up duties on occasion
  • Taking responsibility for the cleanliness, tidiness and high standard of hygiene of the goods-in & back kitchen areas
  • Full, clean drivers licence desired
