Due to recent and continued expansion as well as increasing workload we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Goods In/Out & Despatch Technician to join our team.
Reporting to the Sample Logistics Manager, the position is based in our Environmental Laboratories Division, working at our Leicester City centre laboratory.
Responsibilities:
GOODS IN/OUT & DESPATCH TECHNICIAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Registering incoming deliveries onto the in-house software system
- Packing and despatching client container requests
- Planning driver collection routes for the following day runs
- Liaising with collection drivers to address last minute/urgent collection requests
- Booking deliveries and collections with external courier partners as/when required
- Assisting the Sample Reception Team
- Liaising with clients regarding queries/clarifications
- Follow procedural requirements set out in the UKAS Quality Management System
- Ensuring that adequate and proper records are kept and filed correctly
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Good oral, written and numeracy skills
- GCSE grade C or above in maths and science (or equivalent)
- Computer literate - Experience in using Microsoft Office applications
- Previous logistics based experience would be highly advantageous
