JOB DESCRIPTION

• 5 + years of experience in Google cloud platform
• 7+ years of experience in Oracle stored procedures and SQL server
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud BigQuery including SQL for BigQuery partitioning clustering and query optimization techniques.
• Strong skills in SQL performance (oracle sql server) tuning and query optimization in a cloud-based distributed environment.
• Experience using migration tools such as Google Cloud Big Query Migration and Translation scripts.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively across teams with an emphasis on working in agile environments. Experience with ETL processes and data migration
• Ability to troubleshoot complex database/code issues provide creative solutions in a cloud-native environment. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure smooth data migration from Oracle to Google Cloud Big Query including schema conversion and data integrity checks.
• Design and implement efficient migration strategies to convert complex Oracle stored procedures into BigQuery-compliant SQL including rewriting PL/SQL code as needed.
• Design and implement equivalent functionality in BigQuery using SQL and scripting languages Document migration processes and new BigQuery implementations
• Preferred Certifications in Oracle and/or Google Cloud Platform
