As a Google Distributed Cloud Connected (GDC-C Engineer) at EPAM, you will spearhead the provisioning of managed infrastructure DevOps services, focusing predominantly on Kubernetes as a Service (KaaS). Your expertise will enable our clients to construct and deploy their applications on a dependable and scalable edge infrastructure utilizing the capabilities of Google Distributed Cloud. This role is crucial in managing software delivery pipelines, deploying and monitoring services and handling and learning from incidents.
You will be an integral part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) at EPAM. Our team is committed to delivering a versatile and reliable automated public/private cloud platform. This initiative supports accelerated and sustainable adoption of edge cloud, enhancing the company’s growth and introducing innovative cloud solutions to our teams, thus maximizing benefits and minimizing risks.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of experience working with Google Cloud native tooling and cloud-based delivery models
• Experience in the implementation, configuration, maintenance and support of a cloud network, as well as various other Google Cloud services
• Proficient in a modern scripting language for automation of build tasks
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring using monitoring tools
• Experience with Big Data on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator
• Engineering and coding skills applied in an agile way
• Working with tooling for automated deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code to support Continuous Delivery/Deployment
• Understand the concepts of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to maximize automation, reduce waste, increase scale and apply systemic thinking
• Proven track record in coding, solution definition, project management/execution, change/risk management
• Work experience from large, international companies and have dealt with or worked for global service providers
• Experience with infrastructure configuration management tools such as Terraform, Puppet and Chef

• Design, implement, manage extensive Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications on Google Distributed Cloud Connected
• Utilize your working knowledge of Google Distributed Cloud to support diverse cloud services
• Understand the intricacies of Google cloud design and its implications on cost
• Master networking principles and protocols including IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, Load Balancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, Hybrid Networks and etc
• Work with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, version control systems (GitHub) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Buildkite and etc
• Build management and CI/CD tools (Build Buddy, Jenkins, Bamboo, Buildkite) and monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace and etc.)
• Utilize infrastructure configuration management tools including Terraform and Puppet
• Collaborate closely with clients to tailor Kubernetes solutions according to their specific application requirements
• Ensure high availability, scalability and secure operations of Kubernetes clusters and applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters and network connectivity
