Description:

POSITION OVERVIEW

Strategic Procurement Governance team ensure that sourcing sub-processes are embedded consistently across spend categories, and enable their effective delivery, including the management and oversight of decision fora, as well as and adherence to procedures.
The team provide process and procedure expertise to the Global Strategic Procurement team, and drives transparency in the organisation, through: Coordination of a portfolio of projects that includes Quality Control Process for sourcing process and breaches to the Procurement Policy, Annual Category and Strategy Planning, Spend Review Board, compliance to ESG requirements, process improvements. The team are looking to hire a Governance analyst.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Governance Lead and the wider Global and Strategic Procurement teams to manage interdependencies across the procurement lifecycle;
  • Assist in the implementation of the sourcing governance framework, which includes support with the coordination of decision forums, implementation of controls, process effectiveness assessment;
  • Support critical processes to Strategic Procurement: Quality Checks Process; Deal Review Board; implementation of Procurement Policy Breaches controls
  • Effectively administer the assigned portfolio of tasks, initiatives, and role requirements; this includes but is not limited to: conduct process quality review; assess process adherence, initiate, and follow through remediation steps; classify process gaps for further translation into knowledge management needs, improvements, systems upgrade; cross-check processes and documents to identify and report gaps; understand and provide summary analysis of various data points;
  • Support and enable adherence checks on processes/process changes, data, and tools in line with the existing documentation and systems, as well as compliance requirements.
  • Prepare required reports, presentation, dashboards, specific documents as assigned by the team lead.
  • Develop understanding of subject-matter/technical expertise on sourcing process and specific governance processes.
  • Demonstrate appropriate business etiquette, accountability, professionalism, and due care in all daily interactions (internal and external).
  • Collaborate across the SP PPG function to deliver consistent and reliable results and service.

Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of and proven track record of procurement processes execution (sourcing, transactional), process quality checks or risk management
  • Awareness of Ariba systems, source-to-pay modules
  • Ability to understand and translate process documentation into system data and map adherence to guidelines
  • Analytical mind-set and ability to solve specific problems independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, across multiple corporate title levels and teams
  • Ability to independently structure and prioritize workload, as well as deliver on role requirements in a timely manner
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English
  • 3+ years in a cross-cultural, global, financial or procurement organization, preferably in an operational/analytical/reporting environment.
