Description:
GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS MANAGER
Are you interested in working on cutting-edge fintech and labor policy issues? Passionate about state-level policymaking? Believe technology innovation should benefit working people?
WHO WE ARE
A Certified B Corporation and Public Benefit Company, Payactiv is a leading employer-integrated earned wage access (EWA) provider. Our technology allows workers to access their own, already-earned wages without having to wait for payday. Our app provides millions with financial services that help them avoid debt, manage their finances, and regain flexibility to pay for things on their own schedule.
We are looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join our policy team and drive proactive policy campaigns, with a focus on East Coast markets. You’ll work closely with our public policy and legal teams in this effort.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute Payactiv’s policy advocacy strategy, with a focus on key East Coast markets.
- Engage with policymakers to educate them about EWA, how the technology operates, and its benefits to workers and employers.
- Travel to state capitals, engage with policy stakeholders, and testify on legislation.
- Help build and manage relationships with external stakeholders, third-party groups, academics, and key influencers.
- Participate in coalition-building efforts and craft partnerships designed to strengthen opportunities to advance Payactiv’s policy agenda.
- Participate in trade associations, issue-based coalitions, and relevant third parties to advance Payactiv’s policy objectives.
- Think creatively to influence innovative approaches to advocacy and public policy development in priority states.
- Report to the Head of Public Policy and coordinate with internal stakeholders to extend the impact of our public policy team.
