About the role:
Our Electrification & Innovation (E&I) business supports Australians in transitioning to cleaner energy by developing sustainable, scalable electrification products. We invest in innovative ideas to transform future living.
The Government Programs Manager maximizes opportunities through government incentives, ensuring AGL meets energy program commitments and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders. This role identifies commercial opportunities to leverage government programs in the development and evolution of customer propositions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyse and monitor government programs and policies for consumer electrification and communicate updates internally.
  • Identify commercial opportunities from government programs and coordinate responses with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with government rebate rules, oversee related operations, and support process improvements.
  • Maintain government stakeholder relationships, manage vendor relations, and mitigate risks associated with fulfilling obligations.
  • Track AGL’s performance in meeting obligations and lead the team in managing risks and issues.

About you:

  • Previous demonstrated experience leading a team with a direct or transferable experience across energy, consumer rebates, policy or regulation. Experience in consumer energy resources rebates is highly regarded.
  • Strong commercial acumen to draw the link between government programs and rebates and opportunities across multiple electrification products.
  • Solid understanding of electrification technologies and innovations. Familiarity with the electric vehicle and/or home electrification market is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical and policy information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to empower team members while also providing the right level of support.
