and skills, including:

• Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services;
• Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date;
• Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety;
• Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.

ABOUT US

The Colte Partnership is very much ‘at the heart of primary care’, being the largest GP Partnership in North East Essex; comprised of 8 local GP practices across Colchester and Tendring. We care for approx. 80,000 patients. Our head office is in Feering.

Wivenhoe surgery, a member practice of the Colte Partnership is looking to recruit a 6 session per week GP. We are happy to consider applicants on a salaried basis, (with a view to partnership if of interest) and those interested in a 6 month maternity contract. We are happy to consider applicants with all levels of experience (newly qualified GP included).
We have a registered list size of 9,100 patients of a mixed demographic. The practice has a “Good” rating with CQC and good QOF scores. The surgery is located within modern premises with on site parking.
We are a friendly, welcoming and inclusive team with a focus on worklife balance and are fully engaged with other health providers (e.g. physiotherapy, mental health, midwife etc) for delivery of services from within our premises. We have a supportive clinical team on site with permanent GPs, advanced practitioners (nurses and paramedics) and practice nurses along with a pharmacist and other clinicians provided by our PCN. The admin team are fully trained in correspondence management.
