Grade 6 ELA/Humanaties Teacher

The Peace School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Temporary Gr. 6 ELA/Humanities Teacher at T. A. Norris Middle School. This position is to commence on as soon as a suitable candidate is secured and will continue until June 27, 2025.
T. A. Norris Middle School is located in the town of Peace River and serves students from grades 5-8. The school offers a high quality core academic program, consisting of English, French Immersion and French Second Language and a wide range of exploratory courses which include Art, Drama, Home Economics and Band. T.A. Norris also offers hockey and dance academies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of the Alberta Program of Studies
A commitment to student achievement
Training and/or successful teaching experience
Effective communication and classroom management skills
Ability to work as part of a team
This school offers French programming to its students, knowledge of the French language is considered an asset.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide an acceptance current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
