The programme
The programme lasts for 2-years and includes rotations of 3-12 months across functions, business areas.

THE POSITION

As a process or flow assurance engineer in Equinor, you can work within a wide range of business areas. Our engineers work with development projects, research & technology, production & energy optimization, operational support, production plants onshore and offshore as well as laboratory services.

When joining our teams in either Process or Flow assurance you will have the opportunity to work with:

  • Process design in oil & gas, carbon capture and storage (CCS) and hydrogen development projects in Norway and internationally, or
  • Production and energy optimization for oil & gas and low carbon projects and assets, or
  • Operational support and tasks related to operation, maintenance and modification on plants onshore and offshore, or
  • Support within process safety for all Equinor’s business areas including projects and operation, or
  • Research and technology development from idea to broad implementation related to oil & gas, low carbon solutions, renewable energy and power systems, or
  • Specialist services and support for projects and production plants offshore and onshore, including laboratlry services, or
  • Flow Assurance studies in oil & gas and CCS development projects in Norway and internationally, including steady state and transient pipeline flow simulations (OLGA)

Process and flow assurance engineers are important contributors to safety in design, low carbon solutions and high value field development concepts.
You will be working with people and teams from different disciplines as well as stakeholders from different business areas. We are looking for creative problem solvers who are analytical and flexible, with strong collaboration skills.

YOU

For this position we are looking for those with:

  • Master’s degree or PhD with good academic record within Process and energy technology, Chemical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Multiphase flow, Physics, Chemistry or other related technical disciplines
  • Completed degree within year of starting (2025)
  • Fluent in English
  • No more than than two years of experience
  • Formal experience is not a requirement
  • Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage
