We are looking for a Graduate Apprentice Systems Engineer to join our motivated and creative team in our Aberdeen Hub.
We are currently seeking motivated and ambitious individuals to join our team as Graduate Apprentices. This is a unique opportunity for you to gain practical experience, earn a salary, and achieve a fully funded BSc (Honours) degree in Data Science at SCQF Level 10.
As a Graduate Apprentice with ITI Group, you’ll be working out of our Aberdeen Hub which is our Centre of Excellence for Real-time Information Systems and Digital Operations.
Salary: Up to £22,500 depending on skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SQA Higher: BBBC.
  • English at National 5 grade C or above is required if not held at Higher.
  • Other equivalent qualifications or experience may be considered.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • An interest in data analysis / coding.
  • Experience in computing is desirable.
  • A strong aptitude for attention to detail and a passion for learning.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft software products is desirable.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must be able to prove they have the right to work in Scotland.
  • Candidates may be required to achieve appropriate security and medical clearances; these will be instigated on receiving a conditional offer of employment.

Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Over the length of the programme, you will:

  • Develop the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in a data science role
  • Develop an understanding of a typical client organisation’s data strategy/ governance and the key relevant data legislation
  • Develop skills required to deal with the ever-increasing business need to store and process high volumes of data using big data systems and cloud computing.
  • Develop the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in a data science role
  • Develop an understanding of a typical client organisation’s data strategy/ governance and the key relevant data legislation
  • Develop skills required to deal with the ever-increasing business need to store and process high volumes of data using big data systems and cloud computing.
  • Work within various teams to develop knowledge and understanding within the Aberdeen operation including: the Service Hub and the Projects and Support team
  • Assist Engineers to work with clients to identify solutions and enhancements for their systems that are appropriate to their needs
  • Operate in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Assist Engineers to develop and execute Test Specifications
