Responsibilities:
We’re National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED), the owner and operator behind the electricity distribution systems for the Midlands, the Southwest of England and South Wales. The Major Projects team is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the 132kV electricity network, comprising overhead lines, underground cables and substations.
Major Projects also delivers National Grid’s asset replacement programme, network reinforcement and new connections from 11kV to 132kV.
You will be based at one of our Project Teams offices, but as the majority of work is carried out on site, a significant proportion of your time will be spent on site across the whole of the dedicated distribution licence area (applicable area - South West/South Wales).
The role is technical, requiring you to liaise with a broad range of colleagues and contractors. Excellent time and work management skills are required to deliver projects safely, on time, on budget and to a high standard.
