Risktec Solutions Ltd are looking for talented engineers who are graduating or have recently graduated and are passionate about the Nuclear Industry and are driven to work and learn valuable engineering skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
WHAT IS THE ROLE
This is a site based graduate engineer role at EDF Heysham 2 nuclear power station and you would join the Engineering Support Team (EST). The role is working within the Engineering Department to provide support to experienced system engineers at the power station. You will help increase equipment reliability by monitoring plant trends and suggesting areas for improvement. The role will provide you with invaluable experience of working at an operational nuclear power station, with the aim of you becoming the future engineers in a growing nuclear industry.
EST responsibilities include:
- Liaising with stakeholders from various departments at the station, as well as contacts at other EDF sites, and possibly third parties outside of EDF (e.g. equipment manufacturers).
- Organising and tracking activities and programme statuses to facilitate delivery goals and reporting to regulatory and oversight bodies (e.g. Office for Nuclear Regulation and World Association of Nuclear Operators).
- Development of safety case understanding in support of station requirements.
- Application of industry best practice (e.g. World Association of Nuclear Operators and Electric Power Research Institute).Supporting analysis and decision making of senior EDF personnel
