Description:
The Landfill Engineering team undertake a diverse range of waste, mining, civil and geotechnical projects within the waste sector. The successful candidate will help undertake design, site investigation, on site construction quality assurance supervision and validation reporting across a range of project types. The Landfill Engineering team work closely with other disciplines, including geotechnical engineering, ground engineering, permitting, hydrology and hydrogeology, planning, utilities and civil engineering, which are based within the office, and also contribute to the wider Waste Management Service Area established in our offices across the UK. As a result of an increase in workload we are looking to expand the team.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as a Site Engineer/CQA Engineer or supporting role, predominantly supervising landfill related construction projects, earthworks and ground investigations providing Construction Quality Assurance activities on either short or longer duration projects;
- 3D modeling and volume assessments
- Design, stability analysis and risk assessment.,
- Specify and supervise in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with UK specifications and current technical standards;
- Liaison with clients, engineers, regulators, contractors and sub-contractors throughout the site work phase;
- Assist in the preparation of contract documentation and administration of contracts;
- Data assessment and analysis;
- Logging of soils and rock (in accordance with current UK standards);
- Environmental monitoring; and
- Factual and interpretative validation reporting;
