WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Information Management & Technology (IM&T) underpins business operations and is embedded in the activities of every Function. Delivering efficient and effective IM&T requires all parts of our organisation to work together.
As a Graduate you will support and engage in the full people, project or systems lifecycle, undertaking tasks such as stakeholder management, business analysis, problem solving, architecture, project delivery and financial controls. This will be done in line with the relevant processes and quality requirements of IT and in accordance with current business, security and compliance requirements.

Our IM&T disciplines are divided up into 3 areas; Digital, Data and Cyber. Your role will be aligned within one of these areas, however you will get exposure to all three through cross functional integration. See below for more detail around each area:

  • Digital – transforming what we sell, how we create it and how we operate our business by optimising business effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability through adopting a capability driven enterprise framework of standardised end to end processes that deliver safe, secure, flexible and as common as possible digital technologies.
  • Data – empowering every employee by providing access to trusted data and insight to perform their role effectively and efficiently.
  • Cyber – ensuring all of our systems and products are safe, compliant, protected and assured. This enables the business to have secure digital transformation initiatives, mitigate cyber risks and move the company at the speed of the market through key cyber activities.

Across the disciplines, we have specialists working in product development, application support, testing, data and business analysis, business relationship management, architecture, project management, information security, security architecture, compliance, governance and people capability. This is not an exhaustive list.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and customers. This includes one to one liaison, setting expectations and working to clear service level agreements.
  • Supporting formal audits on data, products and services and supporting the testing and deployment of new applications.
  • Problem solving and assisting with the resolution of technical and software application incidents by interrogating data and documentation to identify process issues and where possible provide solutions.
  • Carrying out data modelling activity such as creating reports and conducting analysis.
  • Ensuring that data and records are appropriately managed and quality controlled. This includes supporting the management of department budgets and finances and assisting in the development and management of projects.
  • Gathering data from a number of sources and producing reports and presentations.
