JOB ADVERT SUMMARY
Compliance Intern will support the teams in ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant regulations, policies, and legislative requirements. This role is designed for individuals who are keen to learn about corporate governance , risk management, and compliance practices within a business setting. The intern will gain hands-on experience by assisting with compliance documentation (regulatory submissions), regulatory research, and compliance monitoring.
EDUCATION:
- Degree in LLB, Business Law, or any related field
- Basic understanding of legal terminology and interest in corporate governanceand compliance.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn legal database
Responsibilities:
- Assist with conducting impact assessments on legislative amendments, regulatory updates and industry standards.
- Support the compliance team in monitoring adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare summaries of key regulatory requirements for various teams to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Assist with compliance monitoring reviews , helping to document findings and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance documents, ensuring easy access for team members.
- Participate in training sessions on topics such as data protection, anti-money laundering, and ethical standards.
