Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, we are seeking a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, you would be responsible for:

  • Reviewing current methods of manufacture and develop manufacturing methods to improve safety, quality and productivity.
  • Assisting in problem-solving issues relating to processes and equipment that may arise in production.
  • Determining the production cycle time of every process in production and create a database.
  • Preparing documentation where required for manufacturing process.
  • Assisting and developing concept design for improved manufacturing processes or tooling for new products.
  • Assisting Engineering on Prototype, DVT, MVT units built.
  • Initiating design, manufacture, and implementation of jigs and fixtures to aid production process to improve ergonomics, safety, productivity, and quality.

There are a few essential tools you will need under your belt to be successful in this role:

  • Good Written and Verbal Communication
  • Computer Literacy - MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing / mechanical engineering process
  • Good Analytical Skills
  • Knowledge of Auto CAD / Solid modelling
  • Willing to do hands on work
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering related
