Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, we are seeking a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, you would be responsible for:
- Reviewing current methods of manufacture and develop manufacturing methods to improve safety, quality and productivity.
- Assisting in problem-solving issues relating to processes and equipment that may arise in production.
- Determining the production cycle time of every process in production and create a database.
- Preparing documentation where required for manufacturing process.
- Assisting and developing concept design for improved manufacturing processes or tooling for new products.
- Assisting Engineering on Prototype, DVT, MVT units built.
- Initiating design, manufacture, and implementation of jigs and fixtures to aid production process to improve ergonomics, safety, productivity, and quality.
There are a few essential tools you will need under your belt to be successful in this role:
- Good Written and Verbal Communication
- Computer Literacy - MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing / mechanical engineering process
- Good Analytical Skills
- Knowledge of Auto CAD / Solid modelling
- Willing to do hands on work
