Rockwell are currently recruiting a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a permanent & full-time basis.
The initial location for this position will be the Kildare area. However, Rockwell’s headquarters are based in Cork, and willingness and ability to travel within Ireland is required for this position.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant third level qualification in Mechanical / Building Services
- Have knowledge of Revit & BIM software systems.
- Have an interest in working within the Construction industry.
- Be comfortable in your use of Microsoft Office.
- Be conscientious, have excellent attention to detail and an ability to multitask.
- Have a positive attitude with a passion to learn & succeed, an energetic approach and an ability to take accountability.
- The ability to contribute comfortably as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Project Manager and Lead Engineer, the Mechanical Engineering Graduate will work on one of our key projects and assist in carrying the project through to successful completion.
- Analyse and troubleshoot engineering issues, proposing, and implementing solutions under the guidance of more experienced team members.
- Learn and apply problem-solving methodologies to address technical challenges.
- Contribute to quality control processes by participating in design reviews and inspections.
- Assist in the identification and resolution of issues related to design and manufacturing.
- Ensure that engineering designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to address compliance-related considerations.
- Support communication with clients by providing updates on project progress and addressing client inquiries under the guidance of senior team members.
- Develop effective communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
- Assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring tasks are completed within the established timelines.
- Learn project management skills and contribute to project planning.
