BAE Systems do offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however it is expected on our Graduate programme you will be required to attend your site a minimum of 4 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements including which days you are required to work on site/remotely will be outlined by your line manager.

As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Supply Chain, Business or Finance related Degree.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Graduate working in Procurement you will experience a variety of roles to help ensure that to that we deliver the right products, at the right time and at the right cost to the required quality. Working with an international supply chain, your role will be varied, ranging from identifying new suppliers for emerging technologies and negotiating contracts to monitoring supplier performance. The Supply Chain team is an important support function in one of the world’s most exciting defence companies. We provide world-class sourcing, contract and supplier management capability to the Business to deliver increased product or service quality, reduced total cost of ownership (TCO) and enhance operating efficiencies without compromising quality, safety, health or the environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Rotations through the Procurement teams supporting both Category Management and working within Integrated Project Teams
- Ensuring that activities deliver value for money through planned and skilful management including coordinating supplier selection.
- Responsible for contract negotiations, placement and management of all third party requirements in relevant categories and projects.
- Responsible for subsequent and appropriate management of the supply base (SRM) monitoring and improving performance.
- Developing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, you will also be responsible for producing key reports and presentations to those same stakeholders
- Supporting other members of the Procurement Team as required in their daily responsibilities
