About the job/the graduate program
The activities of Alfa Laval Food Systems Business Unit are divided into the following product areas: Oils & Fats, Agro & Protein, Brewery, and Evaporation Systems.
As part of this 15 Months graduate program, you will be based in Søborg (Copenhagen), and you will get a chance to gain insights in all areas of Brewery systems by participating and driving multiple projects and initiatives.
Alfa Laval Engineering graduate program offers talented and motivated young professionals an opportunity to apply and expand their knowledge, acquire new skills, and learn from skilled engineers in the industry.
As an Alfa Laval graduate, you’ll be considered a permanent employee from day one, solve business challenges, and become part of a large network of professionals in a global organization. At the end of the graduate program will become part of our global teams in Brewery Systems.
Key activities
During the graduate program, you will develop and implement projects within sales, global technology and beer concentration.
In the Alfa Laval Brewery Industry, we design and sell a range of brewery modules and larger projects, primarily for the processing part of the Cold Block in a brewery. We focus on developing proven and competitive solutions to make a difference for our customers and for the planet with its people.
Taking advantage of the latest technology, you will have a change to work with new cutting-edge technology as well as good proven solutions – all with the objective to lower the cost and environmental impact of a good beer.
In our daily work we enjoy working with our global colleagues in US, China, India and Brazil and we like to use a lot of Alfa Laval state of the art hygienic components like mix-proof valves, plate heat exchangers, pumps, high speed separators etc.
During the program you will get a good feel for the complete workflow of Brewery Systems. The focus will be on the sales, global technology and our latest technology; beer concentration.

You will participate projects and activities and get a chance to:

  • Participate in a customer project from sales perspective, from start to finish
  • Handle continuous Improvement projects
  • Handle R&D projects
  • Participate in a commissioning job

Finally, as a graduate, you will:

  • Be assigned a buddy, who will be able to help you and support you
  • Attend and complete a series of trainings that will equip you with all the tools you need to succeed in your job

Who you are
You are self-motivated and eager to learn. You are driven and see solutions rather than problems; you can effectively prioritize and execute tasks. A focus on continuous improvement is in your DNA. You build trust by engaging in open and clear communication with colleagues and stakeholders.
You work in a structured way with complex engineered solution and like to build state of the art performance into configurable modules and processes - easy to execute with high efficiency.
What you know
You are about to complete or have just finished your master’s degree within Food Science, Brewery technology or similar, and maybe you have a few years of work experience, maybe related to beer or process industry.
I will be a benefit if you have previous sales experience but not mandatory.
More information
The position is based in our office in Søborg (Copenhagen), but approximately 20-40 travel days are expected.
