Job Summary
Seeking a Graduate Project Controls & Lean Engineer for large-scale engineering and construction projects. This role ensures timely and cost-effective project delivery by implementing lean principles and project control methodologies, analysing project data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
We are currently seeking candidates based in Limerick, or surrounding areas and willing to commute.
Responsibilities
The Graduate Project Controls & Lean Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring projects to ensure timely delivery and efficiency. They will utilise project management tools, implement lean principles, and collaborate with various stakeholders to optimise workflows and resource management.
Plan and execute projects for timely and cost-effective delivery
Utilise project management tools and methodologies to monitor and track project progress
Implement lean principles and the Last Planner System or Takt planning for optimised workflows and efficiency
Analye project data to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimisation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and resource management
Identify and reduce waste through value stream mapping and continuous improvement initiatives
Establish project schedules and milestones to achieve project objectives efficiently
Our Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a skilled and proactive Graduate Project Controls & Lean Engineer with a strong background in project management and lean principles. They possess expertise in utilising project management tools, driving process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or Lean Construction/Project Management certifications are an advantage
Some experience or internships in project management and lean construction
In-depth knowledge of lean construction principles, project management methodologies, and industry-specific standards
Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making and optimised project outcomes
Excellent communication skills for conveying lean concepts and building relationships with stakeholders
Committed to ongoing learning and staying updated on lean practices and industry trends
Effective collaborator, fostering a positive team environment
