QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current enrollment in a relevant graduate program and/or equivalent training and professional experience
  • Where relevant, sound knowledge of, and commitment to, healthy and safe work practices
  • Where relevant, strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communications and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of equity and diversity and experience promoting a respectful work and learning environment for students, staff and faculty
    Hours of Work: 4 hours per week over the period of 4th, September, 2024 to 25th, October, 2024
    Work Environment: The position will include working in-person at 100 McCaul St. W, Toronto, ON, room 466, the OCADU Sustainable Colour Lab and some remote online work.
    Compensation: $33.78 (Graduate Rate) per hour with an additional 4% in lieu of vacation and 6% in lieu of benefits
    Please note the following: The period of employment may be extended, conditional upon continued funding of the Project by OCAD U’s external funding partner(s), and upon satisfactory execution of duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Working under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Nicole Collins, in support of the project’s research goals and objectives
  • Building lab website (format.com)
  • Assisting with planning and implementation of special events including managing invitation and scheduling for in person symposium and workshops, coordinating with participants
  • Assisting with data collection, literature searches
  • Assisting with the promotion of research activities
  • Working with Technicians and other research personnel, where relevant, by ensuring the appropriate and safe use of materials, equipment and/or facilities
  • Participating in the provision of safe and secure environment for all members of the University community and its facilities
